An hours drive south of Nashville lies the Columbia, a town steeped in southern history and regular public events reminiscent of days gone by, it’s no surprise Southern Living awarded it as one of the “Best Small Towns” of 2019.  With a population under 40,000 and hundreds of acres of green space, it draws in those who wish to be near enough to a city for commercial convenience, yet want to leave the crowds behind at the end of the day.  Columbia also boasts its own state community college, making it an ideal homebase, temporary or otherwise, for all demographics.
